Product Overview

Calcined Kaolin is produced by heating highly refined, ultra-fine kaolin (china clay) to temperatures above 1000°C. This thermal process drives off structural water, alters the crystal lattice, and creates a highly porous, amorphous aluminosilicate. The result is a brilliantly white powder with exceptional optical properties. In the paints and coatings industry, Calcined Kaolin is the ultimate TiO₂ (Titanium Dioxide) extender, providing unmatched dry-hide opacity and brightness while significantly reducing formulation costs. In the cable and wire industry, the calcination process removes all moisture, resulting in a filler with superior electrical insulation properties, making it essential for high-voltage PVC and EPDM cable compounds. It is also used in specialized thermal paper and premium ceramics.
